A delegation of the Animal Party Cyprus will meet with the Central Prisons Directorate on Wednesday, 9 September 2026, at 10:00, following an invitation from the Directorate.
According to a statement by the party, the meeting will focus on the overpopulation of cats living on the Central Prisons premises, as well as the need for an organised, responsible and humane approach to the issue.
During the meeting, the delegation is expected to submit specific proposals for effectively managing the cat population. The proposals will focus on preventing uncontrolled breeding, providing responsible care and promoting cooperation among the relevant bodies.
