At least two people were killed and seven others injured in strikes by the Russian armed forces using ballistic missiles and attack drones against Kyiv during the night from Monday into Tuesday.
The military administration of the Ukrainian capital said the casualty figures were based on reports received by 06:30 local time, which is also Cyprus time. The number of victims may rise.
Shortly before 06:45, the military authorities declared a new alert over a Russian air raid.
Russian forces had suspended attacks on Kyiv for three days because of the visit to the capitals of the two warring countries by US President Donald Trump’s envoys, Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner. The two envoys held talks with the Presidents of Russia and Ukraine, Vladimir Putin and Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
